Fix body language

What does this mean? (Female Body Language/Girl puts on Chapstick)?

In the last week or so, I had three attractive girls come by and sit next to me. Once in class, another on the bus and in the computer lab. WIthin minutes of sitting right next to me, they'll pull out some chapstick and put some onto their lips. Sometimes followed by rubbing some handcream together. A friend of mine said it was some body language code which females use to gain a guys attention or giving them the hint to talk to them. Is he right? Do you girls actually do this to get a guys attention or hint to them that you want them to talk to you? Thanks for any input.... Thanks for the thoughts so far. I didn't think anything of it, but I just found it odd that random girls will sit next to me and the first thing they'll do is put on chapstick. A friend said girls usually put on lipstick to gain a mans attention...so he said it's like the same thing...*confused*

  1. I don't think it means anything. I put on chapstick or lotion whenever I need to... But who knows, maybe it's a new addition to the female code that I'm not aware of yet.
  2. haha not that i know of. maybe they just want their lips to look nice lol.
  3. Well it is the dead middle of winter and hands are bound to get dry and lips chapped. So I would say that these girls arent dropping hints.
  4. we just do that cause we are girls we are most of the time doing that but sometimes we do it for a reason to catch a guys eye or something like that
  5. well it could be to get your attention or they could just happen and lotion but sometimes when I feel awkward or don't know what to do around a guys(not necessarily because I'm attracted to them) I need something to do with my hands so I think of something to do like get a pencil out or flip through something
  6. I just do it out of habbit. But i notice when i do put on this lip balm i have some guys stare and fidget around not sure whats with that...
