sudden change in body language/why would this be do u think?

Decoding body language:speaking while standing side by side? as opposed to facing eachother like we usually do. this is a guy friend taht i used to date, and we were talking facing eachother but then he repositioned himself to be directly at my side and kept it that way..there was no outward reeason for it...

1. people say that speaking sholder to sholder can be a good way of working through problems, especially when one person is driving. I thnk it makes both parties less self conscious and focus on what is being talked about rather than themselves or each other.
2. when you are dating, when there is interest on the level of intimacy and maybe even love, then you open yourself up to the other, you fully want to give yourself and stand in front of him or her, looking each other in the eyes. lovers can sit, hold hands and look each other in the eyes, while people in a professional or just superficial relationship won't do this. it is something about giving yourself fully and this is by looking the other in the eyes. the other can see who you truly are. when you want to maintain a distance and some formal relationship, then standing a little distant, body turned away and not looking in the eyes for too long. he might want to protect himself from not feeling attraction towards you, there is some fear, hesitating distance or insecurity that was not there before.
