Is "Body Language" a Bunch Of Bullspit when it comes to women?

I am considered an attractive guy by my peers and the other day a mutual friend of mine told me this girl I know wants me to ask her out. I HAD NO IDEA! She gave off ALL the "negative body language" signs that supposedly tell you what a girl is thinking: -she makes NO EYE CONTACT when talking to me (her eyes literally look sideways when speaking to me) -she seemed disinterested/preoccupied whenever we had a conversation -no hair twirling etc. etc. etc. So are these so called "body language experts" wrong? Is body language a bunch of B.S.?

1. Nope. Body language is like speaking language. There are different accents, different dialects and rarely different languages. Maybe she just doesn't know the language. It should be natural, but there are circumstances when people may not know them. That or your friend is bullshitting you. Good luck.
2. No, it's not BS. She was likely acting the way she felt, not with confidence trying to send you specific signals. Perhaps she is shy and afraid to be pro-active, looking away and seeming pre-occupied by her own thoughts and possibly even a little panic when you spoke to her.
3. honestly, maybe thats how much she Does like you. this guy i like, i can barely look at. i can barely tell you what he looks Like lol, pathetic ya. you just feel like even though its nothing to everyone else that every move you make is going to give you away so you act like something else or like you just dont care, ya girls are wicked confusing.
4. To make a strong eye contact takes a pretty strong confident person. Maybe she doesnt cause shes afraid of losing composure and gets all shy. The preoccupied or disinterest maybe her mind is raising a mile a min. talking to herself on staying calm and relaxed and what to say to you. No hair twirling may not happen since she doesnt want to draw any more attention to her cuz that would make her feel even more uneasy and maybe she isnt one to twirl her hair anyways. Its not that the experts on body language is BS..its more on the individual and there is more then just those 3 body languages.
5. Not at all. I think body language shows emotion. Maybe this girl was just uncomfortable, insecure, and shy around you at the time.. I'm not sure. But body language is a definate way to see how people are thinking. It doesn't even have to relate with flirting. For instance, if you see someone trotting down the hall way with their head held high, you can make an inference that the person is confident. But if you see someone slowly walking down the hall, crossing their arms with their head looking down, you can assume they are insecure, not confident, or having a bad day. 6. Body language is a use-full tool when speaking to others. Ever see two guys fighting? They puff up like peacocks!!! Salesman use it too find out if your interested in there car or what ever.
