Public Comments

  1. If you are among friends you wouldn't need to ask that, it would be your comfort zone. Body language plays a part when we are uncomfortable, or up to something.
  2. Open stance (legs not crossed, arms not crossed), head tilted toward person (not away), usually sit close, sometimes touch lightly at times such as elbow, arm (nonsexual), make eye-contact, lean toward person.
  3. Looking someone in the eye and listening without comment when they talk. Leaning in a little closer to hear every word. Smiling at funny comments, looking sad at unhappy comments. Being interested the whole time. Feeling completely comfortable in silence together for more than 15 minutes. Walking together, side by side, alert for the other to notice something of interest. Not wanting to be anywhere else with anyone else. Feelings of happiness and contentment when you hug. Oh, whoops, that's me being in love with my husband. Can be the same thing as a good friendship, though.
