Is His body language lying??

I like a guy I work with, all the body language signs are there, He looks at me a lot, I catch him and he says I looked at him first and then turns away. He gives me a lot of smiles. We get into staring contests without even noticing. He’s feet are always pointed in my direction. He always seams to be no more then 2 feet away from me. He’s always teasing and insulting me (playfully). And he makes up stupid conversations, I think he does this to keep me talking. Co-workers all tease us because they think we both like each other. Why would they pick on just us two???? Anyways A co-worker of mine had the bright idea to ask him about me. I never asked him too he just did it. He said that him and me should go out. My crush said no he didn’t like me like that. The funny thing is the whole time my co-worker was asking him that he couldn’t even look him in the eye. I had just talked to my crush the day before about why he doesn’t have a girlfriend. And he told me it was because he was shy about dating and crushes. My co-worker even asked him if he didn’t ask me out because he was shy and he said he wasn’t shy. Well he’s lying there. I was just wondering If he couldn’t look my co-worker in the eye is that a sign that he’s lying about not liking me that way??? Also my co-worker asked my crush this when me and a couple other employee’s were around do you think he could have gotten scared to answer???. And about the body language, why show that he likes me and then says he doesn’t., why is he doing that???

4. He sounds like he is trying too hard. With so much smiles, is he looking to get your approval to smile back? No one needs to smile so much. A relaxed sitting posture is legs are spread widely and feet pointing away from him. Kind of tense to keep legs together and pointed to you. You notice he makes up dumb chat topics to keep talking. Trying too hard, any conversation including flirting can pass the message in a few minutes. Is he doing this because he seeks your approval of his so-called funny behavior? Eye contact is important, it measures seriousness, open communication, honesty, and confidence. Doesn't sound like he has any of that, a shy guy would avoid a female gaze, not a male one... The guy doesn't know what he wants...he lacks confidence to ask you out, lacks integrity to be honest to your co-worker and to himself.
