Dating Question... Social Immaturity?
Hey Guys and Gals, Before you start off with the "Simply Grow Up" statements, I must inform you that I have a social skills deficit disorder, specifically "Asperger Disorder". Asperger is a mild form of Autism. Part of the disorder hinders my ability to detect body language that well. So in you answers please be specific. I am 23 years old, and getting kind of lonely. Can anyone help me with some specific ways to approach women, read their signs, etc... In your answers be as specific as possible. That would help me to not get confused on what you are saying. One other thing here. I wanted to run this by a group of individuals: I have 150 IQ, but develop by way of social maturity at 2/3 my age. My question is: I hate to get into a dating situation that I am not mature enough yet for. What do you this folks would think if when I got older, say when I'm around 28 or 29yo, and I dated someone who would be 18 or 19? Do you think that people would look at the ten year difference as odd?

- If you date someone younger than you no one would look at you weird or anything, but even though you may think your not mature enough, at 28 as intelligent as you are you will still be much more mature than a girl who is 18 or 19. I know us girls like to think we are so mature at younger ages, but a girl at 18 usually has no idea what real maturity is. So don't go that low, in other words.Lol

- Dude, no matter what your perceived 'handicapps' are, you can achieve your goal. But you need to go at your own pace. Don't let others try to pressure you into doing something you're not ready. Take your time, and build up your skills and confidence. I have seen a disabled midget guy in his wheel chair, and he's in his 40's date beautiful young women, because he was so comfortable with himself and despite all his physical handicapps, his mind was able to overcome it, and he sees himself as a handsome guy, and people buy into that mental image. It's all about the mind. Take your time, and don't be pressured into rushing. If you're 40, and you're dating an 18-19 year old college girl, guys will think you're a pimp, or girls will think you're 'hot' or a 'player', but who cares? You're getting the girls. Isn't that what you want?
