When women play with or twirl their hair, does this really mean anything?
I see women doing this all the time, is it really some unconscious body language or is she just fixing her hair? For example, there are a few girls at work that seem to do this whenever I'm talking to them, as well as this girl that I don't really know at all, when we are in the elevator, for example, she'll start doing the same thing with her hair. A friend of mine says it means something and goes into this whole description about men and women's body language. I don't know if I really believe any of it, I tend to view it that their just fixing their hair, and not some secret, unconscious body language.

- it means we are bored
- bored
- it could mean they're either bored or nervous
- Ya, boredom.
- its just a habit it doesn't really mean anything
- I think it means she's a little nervous. Sometimes people can do unconcious things they aren't even aware of when they're nervous.
- I agree with you. I play with my hair when I'm bored. Or when I do it when talking to someone, it just means that I'm nervous. And I kinda have to keep my hands busy.
- They show their sexual desire by this .But it doesn't mean that they are bad.
- people do it to do it. some nerves, some habit. some relaxing.
- i agree with your friend, it is a sign of body lanuage and shes saying that you intrest her, look for more signs like the eyes lowered, slightly, a slight blush of the cheeks, there are many signs, but the hair thing is the most common...as far as the girl answear goes....maybe shes bored, but there are others looking for a man....good luck
- My daughter in law does it when she gets mad or upset with the situation at hand. One of these days she is going to twist it right out of her head !!!!!!!!!
- boredom baby
- Twirling the hair could mean both interest and boredom....the best determinant is the agreement signs like (uh huh, mmmm, I see, smiling etc) and signs of decline like (naaaaah, frowning, no reaction etc.) another hair language is the famous flicking which could mean confidence or pride
- means we WANT YOU mike 9626, and only you. we can barely control our urge to jump on you.
- if they do that around you and smile or barly bite there lip that means they like you (before i got a boyfriend if i liked a guy id do it all the time around them) body language in girls IS VERY INPORTANT if they twirl there hair that means they like you
- As far as I can tell, women play with their hair for a variety of reasons, boredom ussually, but this isn't always the case. If you watch a woman's body language, they tend to be fairly easy to read....If they blush when youre talking it means either they like you or youre fly is undone.....if they flick their hair it means either they like their hair or they like you.....My advice is dont be boring and they wont twirl their hair.
- If she is doing it with a smile while chating with u or a man, it means she is in the mood for sex & likes him. I have experience in that !
- When I do it, it means I'm nervous. Some girls, however, do it because they're bored and/or becasue they mistakenly believe that this gesture makes them look 'girlie' and 'cute'. Some guys genuinely might find this cute, but meh.
- Yes... means they are ready for flirting
- i usually do it when i'm tired
